*Inter stays on course for Scudetto in Serie A*

VERONA, Italy (Ticker) -- Italy's Serie A scheduled resumed on
Sunday with four stadium closed to fans but there was plenty of
action for those who did manage to view their teams in action.
Inter Milan maintained its 11-point lead at the top of the
league with a 2-0 win in Verona at the expense of Chievo.
Adriano and Hernan Crespo supplied the goals for Inter, which
stretched its record winning streak to 15 matches.
Second-placed Roma also won, posting a 3-0 victory at home
against struggling Parma.
Unlike Inter, Roma had fans cheering them on with 29,076 making
the best attendance of the day at the Stadio Olimpico.
World Cup winners Francesco Totti and Simone Perrotta and
Brazilian Rodrigo Taddei supplied the goals while Parma had
Fernando Couto sent off.
Third-placed Palermo slipped up to Empoli, which moved up to
fourth in the standings with a 1-0 win in Sicily. Sergio
Almiron's collected the game's lone strike.
Ronaldo made his debut for AC Milan as a substitute as the
Rossoneri beat Livorno, 2-1.
Marek Jankulovski got the winner after Cristiano Lucarelli had
equalized Rino Gattuso's opener for the hosts, who were watched
by season ticketholders following a late relaxation of the
stadium ban.
Matteo Melara was sent off for bottom club Ascoli at Sampdoria,
which posted a 2-0 win. The goals were scored by Christian
Maggio and Daniele Franceschini.
Alberto Malesani's winning streak since taking over as Udinese
boss ended at Fiorentina, which captured a 2-0 triumph thanks to
goals from Reginaldo and Giampaolo Pazzini.
Reggina boosted its relegation fight with a 2-1 win over Torino.
In-form Rolando Bianchi scored both goals for the visitors
while Gianluca Commotto netted for the hosts.
Catania, whose fans caused the trouble that led to the death of
policeman Filippo Raciti and the subsequent security clampdown,
drew 1-1 in a Sicilian derby at Messina in front of no
supporters.
Giuseppe Mascara earned them a point after Messina had led
through Marco Zanchi.
Cagliari and Siena both had passed the security tests and they
treated the fans in Sardinia to a 2-2 draw.
Daniele Corvia opened the scoring for the visitors from Tuscany
who needed Paul Codrea to snatch a point after Cagliari goals by
Andrea Capone and David Suazo.
Atalanta drew 0-0 with Lazio in Bergamo.
